During this hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to code a simple 3D computer game using the new A-Frame web programming framework. This framework requires only the use of a simple web server or the online A-Frame sandbox, Chrome web browser, and text editor and participants can be set up and ready to write code in a matter of minutes. Participants can see the results of their coding right away as they place 3D game assets and implement basic animations with HTML markdown and simple Javascript functions. Motivated participants can extend this lesson to implement the game in Virtual Reality using an inexpensive Google Cardboard unit. All of the programming work participants will do during the session can be immediately applied in participant's computer science classrooms.
